Suitable for:
A two day course specifically for those undertaking or supporting direct interventions with young people who sexually harm; including YOT workers, social workers, police officers, health professionals, residential social workers, education staff and others in the safeguarding children/public protection network.
Objectives:
- The Good Lives model as a framework for intervention planning, informed by AIM2 problem formulation
- Planning services and therapeutic work
- A range of intervention techniques including offence process, cognitive distortions, schemas, relationship and social skills, risk management
- Key areas of intervention with the young person's family and support system.
